On July 4, 2003, in a polygamy article on WorldNetDaily.com, Jerry Falwell was asked to respond for that article being reported about the Founder of TruthBearer.org.

As to be understandably expected from someone who has not yet spent much time investigating what the Scriptures really say about polygyny, Jerry Falwell used a common but inaccurate response. According to the article, he suggested that all the polygamists in the Bible had married their additional wives in supposed "defiance of God."

By August 01, 2003, Jerry Falwell had further responded by creating a new web-site, OneManOneWoman.com. It offered an online "petition", promoting the proposed "Federal Marriage Amendment."

After a number of activists in the TruthBearer organization were concerned about that development, the Founder encouraged all Christian Polygamy supporters to simply pray for Falwell, that the Lord forgive the man's governmental idolatry (and of misleading others into that idolatry) and that the Lord stir the heart of that man to really study the Bible.

Further, as of August 14, 2003, a new op-ed was written and submitted through the Pro-Polygamy.com service, titled, "These Conservatives Oppose Unbiblical Marriage Amendment." It addressed the idolatry issue, i.e., in turning to the false god of big socialist government for "protecting" "government-marriage" which the Bible shows God never, ever used. Not one person in the Bible was ever married "by government." The op-ed also also provided the rather obvious Biblical answer to Falwell's mistaken assertion about the polygamists in the Bible. After reading the op-ed, most people could never again honestly rely upon that mistaken assertion again, of course. There's just no possible way that polygamy would have been allowed as "defiance of God" by the Lord.

Over the months that followed in 2003, Jerry Falwell's published articles did seem to move his focus to being that of other topics and issues. Regardless, and in the end, the fact remains. Jerry Falwell is publicly aware of this organization and Christian Polygamy.
