And again, when was it that Abraham so believed, for which it was imputed unto him for righteousness? It was at the repeat, re-confirmation, and actual covenant of the Promise which God had made with Abraham (previously in Genesis 12:2,7, after God had called Abraham to leave the Chaldees). And when had that re-confirming covenant of the Promise been made? It was soon after Abraham had met with the king and high priest of the most high God, Melchizedek King of Salem, King of Righteousness King of Peace.

Thereat, Abraham (the lesser) had been blessed of this king and high priest (his better). This man Melchizedek who was "made like unto the Son of God", (Hebrews 7:3f) "brought forth bread and wine". (Genesis 14:18[a].) (Behold, the mystery! Have you never read 1_Corinthians 11:26?) And thus did Abraham partake of the table of this high priest, the King of Righteousness King of Peace, Melchizedek King of Salem. And Abraham "gave him tithes of all" his spoils to this king and high priest who had "blessed him". (Genesis 14:20c,19[a].)

It is not without significance that it is the very next chapter wherein the covenant of Promise is given. For the Lord said unto Abraham, "Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, SO SHALL THY SEED BE.

"...And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it." (Genesis 15:5c-g,7.)

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seedS, as of many; but as of one, And to thy SEED, which is Christ." (Galatians 3:16.) "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's SEED, and heirs according to the promise... that ((you)) might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." (Galatians 3:29,14b) How so? Through Jesus Christ, the "King of Kings" and High "priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec" King of Salem! (1_Timothy 6:15c, Hebrews 7:21d), Who is the very SEED of Abraham as per Galatians 3:16! Alleluia!

Therefore, "Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall BELIEVE ((as Abraham believed God!)) that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." (Mark 11:22b-23.)

"Knowest not what these be? ...This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit saith the LORD of hosts.

"Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it." (Zechariah 4:5b,6b-7.)

"For by grace are ye saved through faith". (Ephesians 2:8a.) "That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that ((those in Christ)) might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." (Galatians 3:14.)
